Flamingosis San Diego Concert reviews
Must see for all Rock Fans!
"Flamingosis played most of their new album, "Wasting Light", several older songs, and pretty much every song off their Greatest Hits album. They rocked hard on stage, delivering an amazing version of "Let it Die", an acoustic version of "Wheels", the Beatles' "Blackbird", Tom Petty's "Breakdown", and a heavier then hell version of Pink Floyd's "In the Flesh". Dave Grohl and Chris Shiflett's epic guitar solo duels stretched their 3-4 minute songs into the 10-15 minute range, which was incredible. The band was on fire, with Dave making full use of the stage and additional runway to interact with the crowd as much as possible.
Despite some minor issues like the slightly echo-ey sound and Chris Shiflett's guitar being a little quiet in the mix, Dave not drumming at all, and not playing "I Should Have Known", my favorite song off their new album, the overall experience was unforgettable. The Flamingosis put on the best show I have ever seen, playing for just shy of 3 hours."
